What we do

Non-legal business services for law firms.

Six service lines, each described below as we offer it. Every engagement is set out in a written agreement with the firm, and the firm's lawyers make every legal decision.

01 · Marketing & advertising operations

Advertising in the firm's name, approved by the firm.

We plan, produce and manage advertising for law firms. Every ad runs in the firm's own name and is approved by the firm's responsible attorney before it runs. Every ad carries the firm's name and contact information.

The firm's own brand, website and media operations are delivered as a service to the firm, with a record of every approval.

  • Runs in the firm's name
  • Attorney-approved before it runs
  • Approval log kept
  • Media operations
02 · Intake support

Inbound inquiries, answered and organized.

Our intake staff answer inquiries from people who contact the firm, using scripts the firm approves, and pass complete information to the firm's attorneys. They contact someone again only if that person has asked to be contacted. They do not give legal advice, discuss fees, tell anyone whether they have a case, sign anyone up for the firm, or ask anyone to hire the firm. Only the firm's attorneys discuss representation, fees, or whether someone has a case.

We gather the facts the firm's attorneys need to decide whether to take a matter. The attorney decides.

Each client firm has its own advertising, its own phone numbers and its own intake scripts. We never send a person who contacts one firm to a different firm, and we keep each firm's information separate from every other firm's.

  • Inbound only
  • Scripts the firm approves
  • Complete hand-off to attorneys
  • No legal advice
03 · Case administration & back office

The administrative work, under the firm's supervision.

Records requests, document management, calendaring, file organization, billing administration (not trust accounting or settlement disbursements) and other administrative work, performed under the firm's supervision.

We never hold, handle, receive or have signing authority over client funds, settlement payments or attorney trust accounts.

  • Records & documents
  • Calendaring
  • Billing administration
  • No client funds
04 · Non-lawyer staffing

Trained people, working under the firm's lawyers.

We provide trained non-lawyer staff, including intake coordinators, case managers and administrative staff, who work under the firm's supervision. We do not supply lawyers.

Our staff are bound by confidentiality and work under the supervision of the firm's lawyers.

  • Intake coordinators
  • Case managers
  • Administrative staff
  • Bound by confidentiality
05 · Compliance administration

The administrative side of the firm's compliance program.

We run the administrative side of the firm's compliance program, such as conflict-check workflows, recordkeeping, advertising-approval logs and document retention, as the firm directs.

The firm and its lawyers remain responsible for their own professional obligations; we don't give ethics advice.

06 · Software & training

Software for plaintiff firms, in development, and training for firm staff.
